Irden Jewelry

Irden is a custom jewelry online retailer based in Seattle, WA. The owner wanted a brand for her company, Irden. She needed a creative foundation for her business to allow her to expand with confidence.

Irden is an old Germanic word meaning “earthen/from the earth”. It evokes a feeling of rawness that I was drawn to. So, I dove into the history of it all and explored the ancient Norse world. We explored several ideas, but what we landed on was a mark that was based on runes. The word IRDEN (in Short Twig Younger Futhark) is contained in the mark as a single symbol. It’s contained in a hexagon shape to resemble that of a gemstone.

The mark/logo pairs well with others, is easy to recognize, and takes an old tradition that finds a new voice in the world of fashion.
