IE Corporation is a manufacturer of large steel housing units for oil, gas, electric, power, and data center for large companies across the US. Having been in business since 1985, the client was moving into a new frontier with Mission Critical/Data Center construction. Needing to compete on a national scale, they asked for a brand that was simple, minimal, and bold. More than anything they wanted to reidentify themselves as IE Corp. over their old name, Intermountain Electronics.

After several rounds of discovery, we came up with a design that took the roots of their old logo and paired it with a concept that made more sense as a manufacturer of housing units.

We took away the mountains but kept their original blue. We removed the words “Intermountain Electronics” and replaced it with a large IE breaking the bounds of a box to demonstrate an “outside of the box” thinking that takes their company further.
