Filevine approached me in 2021 to join their creative team to help take their startup to the next level with design.

As a legal tech startup with a new round of funding, the Filevine stakeholders needed a refresh of all their assets to attract larger firms. This included new brand guidelines, color story, font heirarchy, product tokens, marketing materials, rebranding their annual convention, swag design, etc.

As you’ll see below, the. changes have been drastic. Take a look!

 
 

Updated Website

Over two years, the website has come a long way from where it started. Once an all-too-seen isometric world of tech illustrations, we decided to appeal to a more sophisticated aesthetic to separate ourselves from the competition.

Where we ended up is a cleaner more two-dimensional approach enhanced with earthy green gradients, frosted glass effects, use of photo/people, leaf shaped containers, and simplified messaging. Together it is a unique brand that stands out against our competitors.

Art Work Installation

Nate Morris (part owner and head of culture) wanted to create an inspiring installation for our core values; We Are Creators, We Are Community, We Are Explorers, We Are Biased Toward Action.

I was tasked to design and install these pieces inspired by significant people and places in Utah. Medium is digital collage, wheat paste print, and gold foil.

 

Product Tokens

As part of our brand refresh, Filevine wanted to make their product suite easier to understand with unique tokens. I came up with a variety of tokens based on the Filevine chevron mark rotated and intersecting itself in various ways to create this unique icon set.

 
 

LEX Summit

The annual user conference (formerly Legal X) is the flagship convention hosted by Filevine to connect with users and potential clients interested in the latest in Legal Technology.

This is a chance to break away from our standard branding and explore new ways to tell our story. The event attracts over a thousand visitors per year. As designers, we were responsible for the brand, assets, and user experience.
