Chacho Hot Sauce was born out of a collaboration between myself and my friend/partner Caleb Cannon. We began during the boredom of COVID-19 pandemic. Inspired to get creative, we chose to create a hot sauce for friends and family. With positive reviews and perfecting to the recipe, we decided to incorporate in 2023.
Since incorporating we have expanded from a few local shops into the local Harmons Grocery Stores (20 stores across Utah) in November of 2023. We also distribute nationally with accounts in New York City and Tucson.
This brand is my own. I have been crafting it for 3 years and I’m in full vibe with where we are. Check it out!
Logo Design
Chacho Hot Sauce is a Mountain West original. As such, we wanted the branding to have a sense of heritage with a modern quality. The font is based on vintage Utah license plates with the sub-text in Brandon Grotesque. All corners are rounded to give it a hand-painted quality which adds to the vintage feel.
Fresh Label
For 2024, we decided to update the label to upgrade our appearance on shelves next to other hot sauces. The new shield design maintains our iconic skeleton (inspired by VanGaugh).
We added “Fides Flamma” (latin: faith in the flame) in the teeth written in Deseret Font (an old alphabet designed by Mormon settlers). We’ve also included stripes and symbols inspired by old lodges/clubs of the 1800s.
Overall, this creates more intrigue and identity on the shelf making us easier to spot and remember by the customer. What do you think? Are you not entertained?
Nocap
What’s a brand without a mascot? We thought the same thing! We introduced Nocap, a carefree bottle of hot sauce that loves good-times and a little bit of spice.
