Utah Business Magazine

Utah Business Magazine has been a long-standing client that I’ve worked with on layout and creative design for over a dozen issues. This particular concept was to highlight four unique Utah companies that are making an impact, but that you might’ve not heard of.

We had four products; a bowling ball, a medical device, organic push pops, and a rubber chicken (which I choked for the shoot). The client wanted to be able to highlight these in a way that wasn’t too boring or traditional. So, I dug into my archives of design inspiration and came up with producing a shoot in the style of Mary Ellen Matthews’ iconic title cards for SNL (see below). It took about an afternoon of shooting against a green screen and then 4 days of post editing and graphic design work.

The results speak for themselves. A definite favorite from our history of working together (though we have many more projects that are just as creative).
